Mismaloya is located on the south side of the bay, a relaxing 9 mile boat that takes 30 minutes, was originally made famous by the 1964 film, Night of the Iguana, and still boasts the original film set, then later, by the Arnold Schwarzenegger classic, Predator, which was filmed in the area’s mountains.
The dive is perfect for all levels of diver, from the new to the super-experienced, with depths from 8 metres/30 feet down to 33 metres/100 feet. You’ll follow the tip of a mountain down into the ocean surrounded by a sandy bottom with rock out crops sticking out of the sand. The dive is ideal if you want to see the elusive razor fish and jaw fish. The unique topography of this dives means there are many ways of approaching it, so we can tailor the dive to your requirements. At certain times of the year, schools of rays can be found as they use the small bay for its protection and endless feeding opportunities.
